The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a game-changer in India's educational landscape; it seeks to promote learning that is comprehensive, adaptable, and skill-based. In this study, the opportunities and challenges associated with incorporating previously published content are examined. In an attempt to elevate standards and increase access, the strategy promotes interdisciplinary studies, online education, competency-based assessment, and educator professional development. There are a number of obstacles that research has shown to exist, however. These include the necessity of enhancing teacher competency, a dearth of essential infrastructure, and issues with internet accessibility. NEP 2020 is distinguished by its credit-based learning, technology-driven education, and multiple entry-exit options. Both educators and students express enthusiasm for the changes; yet, uncertainties persist concerning their implementation, assessment of student success, and the availability of resources. To reach NEP 2020's objectives, policies will need to be carefully put into action, and they will need to be reviewed and changed as needed to meet changing educational needs. A more inclusive, internationally competitive, and future-ready education system might be the result of this policy's successful implementation in India.
